Postpartum doulas & Night Nannies
Night Nannies and Postaprtum Doulas are both extremely helpful as you transition into your new role as parents or as you adjust after baby number two, three or more! Postpartum Doulas and Night Nannies have similar training and background. They also provide a lot of the same services. The main difference between the two is the doula focuses on mothering the mother and caring for the entire family (meal prep and light cleaning for example) and the night nanny's main focus is newborn/baby care over night. Feedings, changing, sleep routines and any tidying up directly related to the newborn.
DO I NEED BOTH A NIGHT NANNY AND A POSTPARTUM DOULA?
Depends! Some families know all they need is support for a few weeks or months at night with their newborn. Others know they want the additional support the Postpartum Doula provides mom and the rest of the family. Additionally, some families enjoy having some help both day and night! It's a very personal decision. We can talk you through it and help you decide what service(s) best suits your needs.
