One of our Postpartum Doulas, Amanda, shares with us how recently taking an additonal training on Infant Care helps her care for the entire family!
Being a postpartum doula is one of the most rewarding things I have been able to be apart of. As a postpartum doula I am able to assist a woman during this transition period making sure that she has the best postpartum period that she can have and I take pride in being able to do so. But being able to support the WHOLE family is even better.
As a postpartum doula and infant care specialist I can guarantee that you and your baby will be getting the best care there is. So when you want to take a nap or a shower you will not need to worry about your newborn as we have been trained all things baby.
Bottle feeding, breastfeeding, diaper changing, baby carrying, swaddling, multiples, bath time, caring for a circumcised and uncircumcised baby, cord care, baby products, formula, sleeping ques, burping soothing and pacifier use are all things that we have been trained on as an infant care specialist.
We stay up to date on all of the latest baby trends and products so that we can easily make suggestions that might benefit you and your family.
Being able to trust that we are able to provide the best postpartum care to a new mother and that we can help with anything baby while we are there doing so is important to us at Doulas of Michigan.
